I take art seriously (but not myself)

Whether it’s a record or a scene, I shape sound that celebrates the character and energy at the heart of your work.

The foundation of Cherry Pavilion Sound & Music is built upon my own diverse journey. It’s a path that began on the concert stage and evolved into comprehensive sonic craftsmanship. I started out as a saxophonist turned film composer, and my initial drive to learn recording was purely personal: I wanted to ensure my own compositions were captured with uncompromising creative control during my college years.

This hands-on dedication quickly grew into a professional passion. Soon, I was recording student recitals and concerts, which broadened into producing and engineering podcasts for the sports journalism industry in my hometown of Las Vegas. This led me to work professionally at the Blue Wire Podcast Studio at the Wynn Casino, which later became SiriusXM’s Las Vegas studio as an audio engineer. While honing my skills in the world of narrative storytelling and broadcast media, I also founded a successful venture focusing on post-production sound for films across the valley. All of that experience has culminated in the creation of Cherry Pavilion Sound & Music, a brand that is truly and authentically me.

My engineering philosophy is simple yet powerful: "Get it right at the source." I champion capturing sound that is as accurate and flattering to the source as possible, often stating, "I want to get it as close as possible from just the microphones." This means I meticulously experiment with vintage and modern gear—microphones, unique placements, preamps, effects pedals, and hardware processing—to sculpt the perfect tone before it hits the DAW.

For you, this translates to a deeply informed, comfortable, and collaborative recording experience. My goal is simple: To ensure your final track is a precise sonic reflection of your original, authentic vision.
